Description
A new-build 20ft dry cargo container made to ISO 1496-4 for bulk goods, with the extra headroom of a high-cube profile: 2.90 m externally rather than the usual 2.59 m, giving 34.5 m³ of internal volume. It is built from SPA-H weathering steel and finished in a Hempel acrylic or polyurethane paint system, and the colour is specified at order rather than taken from stock.

Why a fixed specification keeps the price sensible
This is a made-to-order container rather than something pulled off a yard, and the specification is deliberately narrow: one steel grade, one certified standard, one paint system, with colour as the only real variable. That is what allows a new-build unit to be priced near used stock. Ordering a bespoke steel thickness or a non-standard door arrangement moves the unit into fabrication work and changes both the cost and the lead time.
The high-cube profile is the part worth paying attention to. The extra 300 mm of external height translates into roughly 4 m³ more usable volume than a standard 20ft box, which matters when you are filling by volume rather than by pallet footprint — grain, aggregate, granulate, sacked material and IBC totes stacked two high.

Delivery, siting and cover
UK delivery is free, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the listed price is the total payable — no VAT is added at checkout. At 3,450 kg empty this is a heavier unit than a standard 20ft dry van, so the base matters: firm, level hard standing, and a clear straight approach for a tilt-bed. Overhead clearance is worth checking too, because the high-cube height leaves less room under cables and branches than buyers expect. HIAB or crane offload is agreed in writing before delivery. As a made-to-order unit, allow 2 to 6 weeks.
Being new, it carries our 12-month warranty covering structural defects and water ingress, including the roof, panels, underframe, door gear and floor structure. Your statutory rights apply in addition: 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and a separate 30-day right to reject faulty goods.
