Description
20ft High Cube Container for IBC Storage
A high cube gives you an extra foot of internal height over a standard container — 2.90 m externally instead of 2.59 m — and on this unit that height is the whole point. It is specified for IBC storage and takes sixteen 1,000 litre (264 US gallon) totes inside, which a standard-height 20ft box cannot do without stacking beyond safe working height.
Access is the second half of the specification. As well as the usual hinged double doors at one 8 ft end, this unit opens along one full 20 ft side, so IBCs can be placed and retrieved directly with a forklift rather than shuttled down the length of the container. For a store that is worked daily rather than sealed and forgotten, that changes the handling time completely.
The shell is one-trip Cor-Ten steel on a 28 mm marine plywood floor, CSC plated to 30 tonnes gross. If the contents are hazardous rather than simply bulky, look at our bunded stores instead — this unit provides height and access, not spill containment.

Why the Extra Height Matters for IBCs
A standard 20ft container restricts how IBCs can be handled and stacked; at 2.70m internal height this high cube shell gives the clearance to move tanks in with a forklift and work around them safely, while the 5.82m side opening means you are not reaching down the full length from one end. Four vents help limit condensation over stored liquids. For bulk material rather than tanks, compare the 20ft top-loading bulk storage container or the 20ft ISO dry cargo bulk storage container. A lower-cost used option is the used 20ft high cube container, Grade A. Browse all taller shells under high cube containers.
