What grading actually buys you

Condition varies enormously across the used container market, which is why every unit is graded before it is listed rather than sold as an undifferentiated “used box”. Two containers of the same age and the same nominal grade can differ by years of useful life depending on how they were loaded, where they were stacked and whether damage was repaired properly or patched over.

This one sits above a general wind and watertight unit on cosmetics: fewer dents, less patch paint, and a floor that has not been chewed up by badly driven forklifts. What it is not is a one-trip container. Expect honest surface marks and shipping-line paint history — those are characteristics of the grade, not faults.

Typical buyers

Job-site lock-ups, farm and smallholding equipment stores, retail and hospitality stockholding, school and club equipment storage, and household overflow during a build or a move. The 20ft length is the most common choice because it takes roughly ten pallets and still arrives on a single vehicle.

Getting it to you and what is covered

UK delivery is free, and that includes Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. The listed price is the total payable — no VAT is added at checkout. A 20ft unit is normally delivered by tilt-bed, which reverses in and slides the container off, so you need firm level ground and a clear straight approach; if the site will not allow that, a crane or HIAB offload can be agreed in writing before delivery. Mainland England and Wales usually runs 3 to 7 working days, with longer bands for the Highlands, the islands and Northern Ireland.

As a wind and watertight unit it is covered for three months from delivery: dry inside under normal weather, with doors that open, close and lock. Cosmetic condition is excluded. Your statutory rights sit alongside that — 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and a separate 30-day right to reject if the container is faulty.
