40ft Cargo-Worthy Dry Van

A full 40 ft ex-shipping-line dry van in cargo-worthy grade — sold wind and watertight and still carrying valid CSC plating, so it can legally be used for onward shipping rather than static storage only.

At this length the certification is often the point. A 40 ft box that still has a current plate can be loaded, trucked, railed or shipped as freight; one that has been cut, modified or has let its survey lapse cannot. If there is any prospect of the container moving loaded — a relocation, a resale, a one-way move to another site — buying cargo-worthy keeps that option open.

For pure yard storage it is worth asking whether you need it. A standard used 40 ft is sound, dry and cheaper, and if the container is never going to leave the ground it is sitting on, the survey buys you nothing.

What Cargo-Worthy Means Here

Cargo-worthy is a higher grade than wind and watertight alone. As well as being sound against weather ingress, the unit carries valid CSC plating, so it can legally be used for international shipping rather than static storage only. That matters if you plan to move the container with goods inside it, ship it overseas, or resell it later to a buyer who needs an export-capable box.
