Description
A used 20ft Conex shipping and storage container finished in yellow/gold. Solid steel construction, wind and water tight, with lockable double doors — a durable, cost-effective store for tools, equipment, inventory or personal items, whether the setting is commercial, agricultural or residential. Key details
- Used 20ft Conex shipping and storage container
- Solid steel construction for long-lasting durability
- Wind and water tight, keeping contents dry and secure
- Exterior colour: yellow/gold
- Lockable double doors for easy access
- Ground-level loading, so no ramp or dock is needed
Where the value sits
- Priced well under one-trip stock without giving up structural soundness
- Cosmetic wear is honest and expected: surface rust, dents, faded shipping-line markings
- Yellow/gold picks the unit out quickly on a crowded yard, and takes a respray well later on
- Everything loads at ground level, so nothing has to be lifted to deck height
A light colour is a practical advantage
Container colour is usually treated as cosmetic. On a unit that will sit in the open it is not. A pale yellow or gold shell reflects considerably more solar gain than the dark blues, greens and reds that dominate ex-fleet stock, so the interior runs cooler on a sunny day and the daily temperature swing that drives condensation is smaller.
It also makes the container easier to identify at a distance on a busy site, and it is a far more forgiving base if you decide to respray later — a light coat covers over pale yellow in a way it never will over dark blue.
Delivery, siting and cover
Delivery is free anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable — no VAT is added at checkout. A 20ft unit is delivered by tilt-bed onto firm, level ground with a clear straight approach of roughly three times the container length. If a tilt-bed cannot reach the position, a HIAB or crane lift can be arranged, agreed in writing before delivery. Mainland England and Wales is typically 3 to 7 working days.
Sold wind and water tight, the container is covered for three months from delivery: dry inside under normal weather conditions, with doors that open, close and lock. Cosmetic condition is excluded, so the surface rust and old markings described above are not defects. Your statutory rights are separate and additional: 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and a 30-day right to reject the goods if they are faulty.
Compare with other used 20ft stock
Where this box sits relative to cargo-worthy or one-trip steel is set out grade by grade in our container condition guide. The nearest like-for-like reference point is our wind and watertight 20ft used container, and there is a broader spread of used 20ft shipping and storage boxes to work through as well. Further alternatives sit in the storage container category. Send us a postcode and we can quote a delivered price and confirm what is available in your area.
