Description

A 16ft storage container fitted with a full-width roll-up shutter instead of hinged cargo doors, sold at wind and watertight grade. The 16ft length is an uncommon and genuinely useful size — it holds noticeably more than a 10ft unit while still turning into a driveway or a yard bay that a 20ft container cannot reach. The roll-up door is the other half of the appeal: it lifts vertically inside the opening, so nothing swings out into the access route and you lose no standing room in front of the container.

What the grade actually promises

Wind and watertight is the grade on offer here. In practice that means a shell keeping weather on the outside and door seals that still seal — the only test that counts for a container standing still on a yard. There is no current CSC plate and the unit is not offered for export. Cosmetically, take a working history as read: dents, scrapes, surface rust and paint in more than one shade come with the grade and are not faults. Delivery is free across the UK including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and no VAT is added at checkout — the price shown is the total payable. The container is offloaded from a tilt-bed lorry, so it needs a firm, level surface and a clear straight approach; a roll-up shutter is unforgiving of a container sitting twisted, so a properly level base under the four corner castings matters more here than on a hinged-door unit.
