40 ft Container Shop – Climate Controlled Office + Inventory Storage / Racking

Description

A 40ft high cube container converted into a working shop: an insulated, air-conditioned office of roughly 2.4 × 3.0 m at one end, and a 9.1 m racked inventory bay behind it, connected by a lockable internal door. It is wired throughout to a 100 A distribution board, lit by five high-output fittings, and ventilated by a powered extract fan alongside six wall vents. The point of the unit is that it replaces a small building without a slab, a planning drawing or a fit-out programme.

• Dual sliding glazed windows with a pop-up service counter, so the unit can face customers

The storage end

• Full racking system with steel uprights, plywood shelving and crossbeam supports
• Socket outlets mounted directly to the racking in 37 four-gang boxes on conduit
• Five high-output light fittings, one in the office and four across the storage bay
• Six wall vents at roughly 585 × 457 mm with mesh and weather sealing
• 915 mm powered extract fan on its own switch and dedicated sockets

Be clear about the condition

The shell is a used high cube container, not a new one. It is wind and watertight and leak-free, the floor is sound and recently painted, and the interior has been finished properly — but there is light age-related wear to the exterior consistent with a container that has worked for a living. Delivery, siting and cover

Delivery is free across the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable with no VAT added at checkout. A loaded 40ft high cube is the most demanding delivery in the range: check the approach, turning circle and overhead clearance carefully, and prepare a standing that bears evenly across the full 12.2 m or the racking will go out of plumb. Crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery. On cover, the two halves differ: the used shell is warranted for three months as wind and watertight and structurally sound, while the conversion work itself carries 12 months on workmanship. Your statutory rights are separate again — 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and 30 days to reject the goods if faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Alternatives worth pricing up

Where the workspace matters but the retail counter does not, the 40ft tunnel container mobile workshop is the closer match; it opens at both ends, so plant can be driven straight through.
