What the four side doors change
A standard 40ft container gives you one opening at one end, so anything stored at the far end has to come out past everything else. With four side-opening doors along the length plus the usual end door, you can load and unload at any point in the box. That turns a single 40ft shell into something closer to five separate access bays.
- Forklift straight in from the side — no forty-foot reach down a corridor
- Divide the interior into zones and serve each one through its own door
- Useful for tool cribs, parts stores, event and vendor setups, and multi-bay storage
- Far quicker stock rotation than a single-end-door container
Build notes
- One trip only — a single loaded voyage from the factory, so paint and seals are near-new
- Corten weathering steel corrugated panels resist corrosion in exposed yards
- Marine grade plywood floor over steel cross members
- Side vents keep air moving and cut condensation on the underside of the roof
- 9ft 6in high cube profile leaves headroom for racking above pallet height
Siting
Multi-door units need clear ground along at least one long side so the doors can swing fully. Set the container on a level pad or blocks — a twisted frame is the usual reason side doors bind. Delivery, access requirements and the flat-rate charge for mainland UK are covered in our delivery and placement policy.
Compare this against the 40ft HC open side container with 4 doors or step up to a completely open flank with the 40ft full side opening one-trip container. The wider high cube range lists every 9ft 6in unit we hold, and you can request a delivered quote whenever you are ready.
