20ft Shipping Container Cafe

A one-trip 20ft x 8ft container converted in our own workshops into a food and drinks serving unit. It is the most popular conversion we build, because 20 ft is the size at which a serving counter, a work line and storage all fit without the crew standing on each other.

Three serving points are cut into the shell: two hatches on the front at 2350 mm wide and a third on the end at 1800 mm, all 900 mm high. That gives you a long front counter for queuing and a side window that can serve a second flow — useful at events where the queue has to be split. The double door on the end stays usable as advertising space when closed.

Insulation is specified for year-round trading rather than summer pop-ups: 50 mm Dritherm Earthwool in the walls and 100 mm in the ceiling, lined with polyester-faced ply above and melamine-faced chipboard on the walls, over a 2 mm non-slip vinyl floor. Security is a steel 10-point locking personnel door at the rear. An electrics pack is available. Standard delivery is 4–10 days from when the order is funded.
