£2,859.00

A full foot of extra headroom over a standard 20ft box, on the same footprint that drops onto most driveways and yards without an oversized crane pad. One trip from the factory, so the paint, seals and floor are effectively as new and the CSC plate is current.

Description

A standard 20ft gives you 8 ft 6 in of external height; this one-trip 20ft high cube gives 9 ft 6 in. Tall equipment that would otherwise have to be tilted, wrestled and coaxed through the doorway can instead be wheeled straight in on a pallet truck. The footprint has not changed — still 6.06 m, still far easier to place than a 40ft — which is precisely why this size goes to buyers who are short of ground but need the height.

Dimensions and weight

  • External: 6.06 × 2.44 × 2.90 m (19 ft 11 in × 8 ft 0 in × 9 ft 6 in)
  • Internal: approximately 5.90 × 2.35 × 2.70 m (19 ft 4 in × 7 ft 9 in × 8 ft 10 in)
  • Door opening: approximately 2.34 m wide × 2.59 m high (7 ft 8 in × 8 ft 6 in)
  • CSC plated: 30 tonnes gross

Build and fittings

  • One-trip condition: a single loaded voyage from the factory
  • Built in Cor-Ten weathering steel
  • Hinged double doors at one end, with two locking bars on each leaf
  • Lockbox fitted at the factory
  • Forklift pockets, two to a side
  • 28 mm (1⅛ in) marine plywood floor on steel cross members
  • Four vents

What the extra foot is for

  • Standing room over compressors, generators, mini-excavators and stacked plant
  • Two tiers of racking, with working space left underneath
  • Walk-in height that makes stock picking and tool storage comfortable
  • A greater air volume above the goods, moved along by the four factory vents
  • Enough headroom to frame and insulate a ceiling in a conversion and still stand upright

What one trip means for this unit

One trip means the container has carried a single cargo load from the factory, so the paint, the door seals and the marine plywood floor are effectively as-new and the CSC plate is current. That last point is the one people forget: a current plate matters if the unit will ever go back into freight, or be craned onto a stack, and it is the practical difference between a one-trip box and a tidy used one. Our container condition guide sets out exactly what separates one trip from wind and watertight.

Delivery, siting and cover

Delivery is free across the UK, taking in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is what you pay — no VAT is added at checkout. A tilt-bed will set the 20ft footprint down on most driveways, yards and compounds, with no call for the sort of crane pad a longer unit demands; after that, the pockets on either flank let a forklift walk the unit into its final position on hardstanding. Leave around 1.8 m of clear swing space in front of the doors and set the unit level so they stay square. Where a HIAB or crane offload is wanted, that is agreed in writing before delivery. One-trip grade carries 12 months of cover for structural defects and water ingress, and separately you keep 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and 30 days to reject the goods if they are faulty.

Twice the floor area means stepping up to the 40ft one-trip high cube. Stacking totes instead? Then look at the 20ft hi-cube set up for IBC storage. On a tighter budget, the Grade A used 20ft high cube is the same height in a pre-owned shell.
